Overnight Trip to NASA in Houston

• Daisies must have a parent present since it is an overnight event.
• All participants must have attended at least one overnight event before in order to attend without a parent.

NASA Registration Email

You might have seen an email from NASA to add additional information to their site so that they are prepared for our visit. The email will come addressed from ‘Info’ from the email address edu.registration@spacecenter.org. It’s easy to miss it so please search if you haven’t seen it. There will also be a separate email for each person in your group so please open each one and complete the information. Tomorrow, I will resend it to those who still need to complete it. They ask questions about food preferences, sleeping arrangements (we’re all sleeping inside) and when to use the General Admission ticket (we will be using them after the experience as a troop).

As the event draws closer, I’ll send out a list of who is carpooling together if you signed up to help and further details. Also, if you need to complete any other forms, I’ll be in touch!

Tentative Itinerary

1 pm – Leave from Living Spaces in Pflugerville
5 p.m. – Check-in conducted in vehicles

6:30 p.m. – Dinner served in The Food Lab
7:30 p.m. – Welcome show in activity areas
7:45-9:45 p.m. – Activities conducted
9:45 p.m. – Rocket launch
10 p.m. – Get ready for bed
11 p.m. – Lights out

SECOND DAY MORNING

7 a.m. – Wake-up / pack-up / load gear in vehicles
8 a.m. – Breakfast served in the Food Lab
9 a.m. Tram tour of NASA Johnson Space Center
10:30 a.m. Explore Space Center Houston
12:00 pm Leave Space Center (We will stop and eat on the drive home.)
4:00 pm Arrive at Living Spaces
